THE RUN4RKIDS FINALE: OUR SIXTH AND FINAL RACE
Hello Runners! Here is some important information about Run4RKids on Saturday, January 7, 2017.
Doors open at 7:30am and ALL RACES START AT 8:30AM!
Race kits can be picked up between 7:45 am and 8:15 am
There are washrooms and change rooms at the race venue.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
The race budget is very tight this year. Water will be provided, but we suggest that you bring whatever you would personally need to run whatever race distance you will be running..
WHY ARE THERE NO MEDALS OR RACE SHIRTS?
As I had stated in an email I sent to all the runners back in December, this race almost did not happen because of a lack of funding. Thanks to the generous support of the community and help from certain individuals, we are able to have this final race, but with minimal resources.
POTENTIAL NEW RUN FOR 2018 – RUN FOR THE SOUL

Scott made available through a close friend of his that was able to work a last minute miracle by getting race shirts designed and printed within 24 hours. Scott did this for me to have race shirts for this potential event that I would like to be able to bring on for next year in January 2018.
Therefore, these shirts have been purchased by Scott not for Run4Rkids, but as a fundraising tool for the next potential race I would like to be able to provide for you.
Having said this, because the website originally stated that if you register on or before November 1st, you will get a shirt even when we stated subsequently that there would be no shirts and you can get your refund if you chose to at the time, people chose to stay in the race and willing to not have a shirt. So Scott has provided me with these shirts on the condition that the promise was made to those runners to get a shirt is honored. And in the event that I did fail, then at least I tried to honor my promise to those runners who registered on or before the cut off date to get a shirt.

DONATION JARS - $20.00 OR MORE WILL GET YOU A SHIRT
There will be two DONATION JARS inside the track - The first jar will be for those of you that would like to make a donation to my not-for-profit, Hope and Happiness Wellness Services that does work for people dealing with grief, trauma and all addictions.
The Second jar will be called, 'Run For The Soul' - for donations that will go directly towards my proposed next year's race.
So you you have a choice of where your donation goes.
In the event I fail you by my poor marketing and there does not happen to be a RUN FOR THE SOUL race next year - for those of you who may choose to donate, you can put your name inside the jar along with your donation and I will ensure I refund your money 100%.
I am fighting so there can possibly be another race next year in January in support of all of you as I have come to recognize that many of you look very forward to this indoor race every year in the winter as it is the only indoor race in the winter. But I am not attached as I am not a runner.
I am personally not making any money from organizing this race, I am doing this because I gave my word to the running community at last years RUN4RKIDS event to have a race this year - and my soul tells me to honor my word.
So, if you do choose to make a donation of any amount that you feel good about, I would only feel good about it if it came from your HEART! I would not want anyone feeling like they are forced into giving financially.
If you choose to donate, I thank you for the contribution towards next year's race. If you choose not to donate, that is okay, I thank you for being true to yourself and honoring yourself first.
I just feel a strong connection and I want to be of service to you!
